Wishing you a prosperous 2021
Update from Our Aberdare BID
We appointed our BID Manager, Dawn Penny in November and since that time she has met with some really supportive business owners, and at such a difficult time, it is their positivity that reinforces the need for the BID’s success – to help the businesses in our town to succeed and increase footfall.
Work is continually being made in the background to achieve this including meeting with various supporting organisations including the Department for Workplace & Pensions, GroundWork Wales, Aberdare Business & Tourism Association, and the Institute of Directors, Wales.
Please contact us if you would like to support Our Aberdare BID, or if you’d just like to know more.
Our local MP, Beth Winter and Senedd Member, Vikki Howells also give their full support to the BID and we are in regular contact with the Town Centres team and other representatives at RCT Council to keep momentum going.
It is essential that we work collaboratively with such organisations as solid foundations can then be set for the BID to achieve it’s goal of improving our town for the whole community and it’s visitors.

Research into small business funding sources as well as general business and community support information to help build a pool of tools and resources is being carried out so that the information can be shared.
Our Aberdare has an important part to play so that the town is ready to attract maximum numbers for when we are out of this pandemic.

It is vital for us to move forward so that the businesses in Aberdare town can succeed and we have hit the ground running to achieve the work set out in our four pledges and the Our Aberdare BID proposal.
It is imperative that we invest in the town to make maximum use of the freedoms that will hopefully be available in late spring 2021.
